As a Security Officer in Lewisville, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor activity using computer and/or tablet tools, and maintain a visible presence that can help reduce security-related incidents. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Control access to the location by verifying identification, processing visitor and contractor check-in and/or check-out, and maintaining entry and exit logs per site requirements.
- Monitor inbound and outbound truck traffic at gates and/or docks by checking credentials, directing drivers to designated areas, and coordinating with site contacts as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing access disputes, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations, and escalating per post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, yard areas, dock lanes, parking areas, and perimeter, noting irregular conditions and reporting concerns through established channels.
- Perform screening and property control activities as directed, such as bag checks, package verification, and/or vehicle inspections, consistent with posted instructions and site policy.
- Operate and monitor access control systems, CCTV, alarms, and communication equipment, and complete required documentation for events, alarms, and service requests.
- Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required logs in a clear, timely manner, and communicate pertinent information during shift transitions.
- Support loading and unloading operations by maintaining controlled access to restricted areas and assisting with crowd control during peak shipping and receiving periods.
- Provide directions and assistance to employees, drivers, and visitors while helping to maintain orderly movement through checkpoints, lobbies, and/or gate areas.
- Assist Allied Universal management and site leadership with compliance checks, key control, and credential accountability activities as assigned.
- Participate in drills and training, follow post orders and instructions, and report maintenance or operational issues impacting security-related operations.
Minimum Requirements: - Be at least 21+ years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
