The Surveying and Geomatics Business Unit is seeking Local 12 Field Survey Technician in Ontario, CA.

Our Field Survey Technician will work as a member of a survey crew performing boundary, topography, ALTA, right of way, and construction surveys for public and private clients. The selected individual will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance of survey equipment, taking field notes, data collection, performing calculations and working with DEA staff and clients on these projects. Involvement in the office will include reducing survey data, performing calculations, copying and filing of this data.

What You Bring Required Qualifications:
  • Member in good standing with the Local 12 Union
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 6+ years of field survey experience
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong work ethic and accountability
  • Clean driving record required (no more than 3 accidents and/or moving violations in the last 36 months or 2 accidents and or moving violations within the last 12 months)
  • Experience with transportation projects such as bridges and roadways and Ground Penetrating Radar
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
  • Trimble Total Station and GPS experience preferred
  • Proficiencies with MS Word and Excel a plus

  • Potential salary range: This position is at the Union designation and would be at the Union pay scale.
