Airgas is Hiring for a Production Operator with CDL in N. Las Vegas! We are looking for you !
  • Pay: CDL A License holders make $27/Hr
  • Position is eligible for a Monthly Incentive Plan based on contributions and success
  • Referral bonus: $1000
  • Average hours are 40-45 hours per week
  • Shift: Your journey begins with training on the 4 AM to 12:30 PM shift. Upon completing your training, you will transition to the 4 PM - 12 AM (Mon-Fri) schedule from that point forward.

As a Production Operator, you will contribute to the cylinder requalification and repair process. In this physically active role, you will move industrial gas cylinders to different areas of the plant"either manually or supported by material handling equipment"and support the loading and unloading of cylinders from delivery trucks. As a key representative of Airgas, the delivery driver is dedicated to the safe and efficient delivery of compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business customers from an Airgas branch or plant location using a company-provided tractor-trailer, straight, or box truck. This position involves loading, unloading, and returning compressed gas cylinders while frequently connecting with Airgas customers.

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

  • Ideally, you bring experience with (or an interest in learning) forklift operation

  • Load and unload the truck daily with gas cylinders & supplies

  • Nurture courteous & professional relationships with customers

  • Support deliveries in a timely manner

  • Safely secure and unsecure cylinders

  • Facilitate deliveries on customer property sites using a hand cart; we emphasize the physically active and hands-on nature of this position.

  • Drivers will frequently move in and out of their vehicle

________________________ Are you a MATCH? Required Qualifications:
  • Valid Class A CDL with HAZMAT & Airbrake endorsements

  • Hazmat IS REQUIRED. CANDIDATES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED UNLESS THEY CURRENTLY HAVE THEIR HAZMAT

  • Maintain appropriate driver's license, medical card & endorsements

  • No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years

  • No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years

  • Must be able to work in a drug-free environment

  • Be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment

  • Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of CDL experience

  • Warehouse/Plant experience

  • Hazmat driving experience

  • Forklift experience
