We have immediate per diem (PRN) shifts available for the following position: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse in Vancouver, WA.

Requirements:

  • Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate
  • Required Skills: Administration of blood & blood products, Adult cardiac arrest, Amnioinfusion, Antihypertensives, Antiseizure, APGAR scores, Assist with amniocentesis, Assist with Circumcision/Assess site post-op, Assist with high risk delivery, Assist with sterile speculum exam (effacement, dilation, station, presentation), Assist with vaginal delivery, Baby friendly protocols, Bladder Distension, Breastfeeding Support/lactation support, Cesarean Section, Circulate for C-section, Collect cord samples, Cord Care, Couplet Care, COVID, D & C, Diabetes mellitus, Discharge teaching to parents, Epidural Anesthesia, Episiotomy/Incisional Care, Facility births/month 100-200, Foley catheter insertion/management, Forceps/vacuum extraction, Fundus / lochia / perineum care, General Anesthesia, HELLP Syndrome, Hemorrhage/shock, ID/Security Banding, Infant / neonatal arrest, Infant Identification, Insulin drips, IV conscious sedation, Labor & Delivery, Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Malpresentations (breech / face / brow), Metabolic Screen, Mother/Baby, Multiple Births, Multiple Gestation, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, Neonatal Resuscitation, Newborn Assessment, Newborn hypoglycemia, Nitrous Oxide, NST (Non Stress Tests), Opioids, Pain assessment & management, Phototherapy, Pitocin (oxytocin), Placenta Previa/Abruptio, Postpartum Hemorrhage, Pre-eclampsia / eclampsia, Pregnancy induced hypertension, Premature Rupture of Membranes, Preterm labor, Radiant Warmers/Thermoregulation, Recognition and Treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, Recover C-Section, Reflex checks / edema assessment / clonus, Scrub for C-Section, Seizure disorder, Spiral Electrode Placement, Sterile vaginal exam, Substance Abuse, Teach Circumcision care to parents, Terbutaline, Thermoregulation, Triage of obstetrical patients, Tubal Ligation, Use of EFM (External Fetal Heart Monitoring), Use of Electric/Manual breast pump, Use of External Fetal Monitoring, Use of infusion pumps / drips / IV monitoring, Use of Internal Fetal Monitoring, Use of IUPC (Intrauterine pressure catheter) placement and calibration, Use of PCA (IV), Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Uterine rupture, Vaccine Administration, VBAC management / trial of labor, Wound assessment/care, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Starting and maintaining IVs, Sterile vaginal exam, Vaginal Delivery
