Job Summary

Our Heavy Civil Construction Superintendents oversee all phases of construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role supervises crews, enforces company policies and safety standards, and ensures work meets quality requirements. Requires strong leadership, extensive heavy civil construction experience, and in-depth knowledge of methods, equipment, and safety protocols.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Plan and manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and compliance with regulations
  • Supervise crews, subcontractors, and daily on-site activities to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Enforce safety protocols, conduct inspections, and address issues promptly
  • Oversee equipment, materials, and labor while coordinating with procurement and logistics
  • Resolve project challenges and conflicts to keep work on track
  • Provide progress updates, maintain documentation, and report to senior management

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years in heavy civil construction, including 2+ years in a supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, equipment, and safety (OSHA) regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical instructions
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel to project sites and work independently or as part of a team


Work Environment & Location


  • This position requires travel 85% - 90% of the time throughout Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California
  • Ability to travel to different job sites and/or states as required
