Note: This position requires you to be onsite 5 days a week in San Bruno, CA.

This position will support external marketing of the Marketplace brand along with holistic marketing of our Logistics portfolio (external and to existing sellers). This individual will manage a cross-functional project to introduce new brand guidelines and positioning to partner teams, along with supporting a range of marketing initiatives.

The successful candidate is an experienced marketer who thinks both creatively and strategically to execute in effective, measurable ways-from big bold ideas to traditional advertising and marketing tactics such as social, email and content distributed through owned channels.

What you'll do:



  • Develop and support comprehensive marketing plans to drive awareness, adoption and engagement for Walmart Marketplace, including determining marketing channel activations, campaign timing and messaging.
  • Counsel business teams and partner with them to understand business priorities, build plans, provide strategic POV, set measures of success and ensure successful execution of marketing activity.
  • Partner with brand strategy, digital media, events, creative development and other teams to develop content and tactics that achieve business goals and are executed with excellence and in alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Coordinate and keep multiple projects on track, acting as a project management supporter. This is expected to be about 50% of the role.
  • Coordinate agendas, take notes, and review outstanding projects for updates, ensuring high-level strategy can be the focus of the manager.
  • Gather necessary information from business teams and chase them down to move projects along.
  • Create reporting structures to share weekly progress and updates with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage small to mid-tier projects for strategy, which includes determining the right channels to activate on and messaging.
  • Partner with Walmart Global Communications and Walmart Marketing to ensure alignment with enterprise marketing and PR activity.


You'll sweep us off our feet if...



  • You have 3+ years of external marketing and/or B2B marketing/communication experience (retail, e-commerce, or B2B companies)
  • You have strong change management skills and have managed the launch of multi-faceted initiatives that required buy-in and execution from multiple stakeholders.
  • You are a strong project manager who thrives in fast-paced environments and is able to nimbly prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • You are data-driven and have created research and measurement programs to define target audiences and determine the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and tactics.
  • You have strong understanding of creative development capabilities and SLAs.
  • You have high standards for writing and design, along with attention to detail.
  • You are a self-starter and have strong interpersonal, project management, and analytical skills.
  • You're organized, disciplined and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • You have proven ability to create clarity in ambiguous circumstances, including in stakeholder conversations at the onset of a new project, gathering requirements or managing through revision.


The target hiring compensation range for this role is $49.00/hr to $53.00/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
