Senior Designer | Full-Time


As a Senior Designer, you are a high-level performer of the XRD practice. In this role, you will be a key strategic leader responsible for shaping the overall service design vision and direction. This role involves leading and mentoring others, collaborating with executive stakeholders, and driving innovation in service experiences.

What You'll Accomplish:


* Develop and communicate a compelling and cohesive design strategy aligned with the client's business goals and user needs.

* Lead the integration of service design into the overall business strategy and contribute to shaping the client's organizational vision.

* Identify and articulate strategic opportunities for enhancing the overall service experience.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, development, marketing, and business strategy, to ensure the seamless integration of service design into all aspects of the client's organization.

* Oversee and guide advanced user research initiatives, leveraging qualitative and

* Lead the creation of comprehensive service blueprints, user journey maps, and system architectures to holistically visualize and improve service ecosystems.

* Explore and champion emerging trends, technologies, and design methodologies to push the boundaries of service design.

* Foster a culture of innovation with the XRD team and Vervint.

* Promote a collaborative and inclusive team culture.

* Ensure high-quality design deliverables by conducting regular design reviews and providing constructive feedback.

* Uphold design standards and best practices across all projects.

* Translate research findings into actionable design strategies and opportunities for innovation.

* Mentor and inspire other designers within XRD, providing guidance on complex projects and fostering professional development.

* Engage with stakeholders to align design initiatives with broader business objectives.

* Present design strategies, concepts, and business impact to clients.


What You'll Bring:


* A learning/growth mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.

* A strong grasp of human-centered design methodologies.

* Expertise in relevant design (i.e., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite) and/or research (i.e., Dovetail, Marvin) tools.

* Proficiency in software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban.

* Comfort with ambiguity, a desire to empathize, and resilience to adapt and flex as needed.

* Great communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills; ability to communicate confidently and effectively with people at all levels of the organization.

* Strong attention to detail and the ability to fluidly move across client accounts.

* Comfortable managing priorities and working on multiple projects simultaneously.

* Willingness to navigate conflict and offer (and accept) constructive feedback.

* Thoughtful decision-making skills and the ability to discern when to call on others for support.

* A self-directed working style with an ownership and accountability mindset.

* Awareness of relevant industry trends and best practices.

* Deep curiosity and the willingness to try, learn, and iterate.

* Willingness to share knowledge and contribute to the team's success.


Education/Experience:


* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in interaction design, interface design, human computer interaction, human-centered design, fine arts, research, graphic design or UX.

* At least 5-7 years of relevant experience and a strong portfolio that reflects your experience designing applications, experiences, websites, products and services that balance user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints.
