You Are:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Architect with deep technical expertise in Java Spring Boot and AWS, who can also take on Product Owner (PO) responsibilities. This hybrid role requires a unique blend of technical leadership and product vision to drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable cloud-native solutions.

The Opportunity:

Technical Architecture



  • Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance applications using Java Spring Boot and AWS services
  • Define microservices architecture, integration patterns, and deployment strategies
  • Lead technical decision-making and ensure alignment with enterprise standards
  • Oversee database design and optimization, especially with Amazon RDS (PostgreSQL)


Product Ownership



  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define product vision, roadmap, and backlog
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories
  • Prioritize features and enhancements based on business value and technical feasibility
  • Act as the primary liaison between business, development, and QA teams


Delivery & Leadership



  • Guide development teams through implementation, testing, and deployment
  • Ensure CI/CD pipelines are efficient and aligned with DevOps best practices
  • Conduct code reviews, performance assessments, and technical mentoring
  • Monitor application performance and drive continuous improvement

What You Need:

Required Skills & Qualifications



  • 8+ years of experience in Java development, with strong expertise in Spring Boot
  • Proven experience architecting solutions on AWS (EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, S3, CloudFormation)
  • Solid understanding of microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven architecture
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline)
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, including schema design and performance tuning
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and working as a Product Owner
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills



Preferred Qualifications



  • AWS Certification (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)


  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK stack)



Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Georgia

Compensation Range: $132,000-$198,000

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

Part-time employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) program with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
