We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) V to lead the software development process with a focus on quality assurance through automated testing. In this role, you will design and implement automated test scripts based on business requirements, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all features. You will analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and resolve defects, while contributing to solution design discussions to align development and QA objectives. Maintaining documentation of test outcomes and staying abreast of new testing tools and methodologies are key to continuously improving our testing process. Your work will directly impact the delivery of software that meets the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to ensure comprehensive feature coverage.
  • Analyze test results, identify issues, and collaborate with development teams to resolve defects.
  • Participate in solution design discussions to align development and QA objectives.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of test outcomes and processes.
  • Stay current with emerging testing tools, methodologies, and best practices to enhance the testing process.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for both manual and automated testing.
  • Utilize test automation toolsets such as Selenium, Cucumber, Jenkins, Git, Docker, and others.
  • Perform white box and black box testing, including performance and security testing.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize tasks effectively in an Agile environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications
  • Requires 10+ years of directly related experience supporting and performing unit, system and integration testing with Nasdaq's Calypso platforms and infrastructure, ideally in a regional bank setting
  • Experience with Calypso systems configuration for derivatives and futures products across the entire trading lifecycle including front, middle and back office processing.
  • Thorough understanding and experience with General Ledger accounting, FIN39 accounting, collateral management, ISDA SIMM and Swift processing for capital market derivatives products
  • Hands on experience integrating Calypso with financial market utilities such as DTCC SDR, Markitwire, Bloomberg TOMS SEF, WebICE, AcadiaSoft and TriResolve and with internal systems such as General Ledger, Swift, FedWire, ACH.
  • 2+ years direct hands on experience developing test cases, scripts and documentation testing results within Azure Dev Ops (ADO)
  • 8+ years of experience in programming, test automation, manual testing, and writing comprehensive test plans and test cases, or other directly related experience.
  • Knowledge of programming, scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java), and DevOps practices.
  • Expert working knowledge of test automation toolsets including Selenium, Cucumber, Jenkins, Git, Docker, and related technologies.
  • Excellent performance and/or security testing skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem resolution, judgment, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, both verbal and written, with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing technology and priorities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus.
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, or equivalent. Master degree preferred.


Location:

This position can be located 100% remote within the United States or located at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
