Overview

TISTA is seeking a Data Developer responsible for creating and maintaining analytic scripts, automation routines, and rule-based detection tools to support fraud analytics and operational reporting. This role enables efficient data processing, supports model development, and provides coding solutions for ad-hoc analysis and experimental R&D initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Python, SQL, and R scripts for analytics and rule-based detection.
  • Automate data processing tasks to improve efficiency and consistency across workflows.
  • Assist in model development by preparing features and supporting experimental coding for R&D.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to integrate scripts into analytic pipelines.
  • Provide Python/SQL/R solutions for ad-hoc analysis and operational needs.
  • Ensure code quality, documentation, and compliance with security and governance standards.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of professional experience in data development, analytics scripting, or similar roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and R for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Experience with ETL processes, data validation, and automation frameworks.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and version control tools (Git).
  • Exposure to VBA/VA data environments or federal healthcare data is a plus.
  • Ability to work in Agile environments and collaborate across technical teams.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Master's degree preferred for advanced roles.

Clearance:

  • The ability to pass a Tier 2/Modest Background Investigation.
