Laboratory Services Technician - JLL

What this job involves: Join JLL's laboratory services team as a Laboratory Services Technician, where you'll play a vital role in supporting critical research and testing operations. This position involves maintaining the essential infrastructure that keeps laboratory operations running smoothly, from managing specialized glassware and equipment to ensuring proper sterilization protocols. Working in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment, you'll collaborate with research teams and laboratory staff to maintain the highest standards of safety and compliance. This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to important scientific work while developing technical skills in a dynamic laboratory setting that supports cutting-edge research and development activities.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Transport laboratory glassware and equipment between designated wash areas, pickup locations, and multiple laboratory buildings

  • Perform customized cleaning and processing of various specialized laboratory equipment and glassware according to established protocols

  • Operate autoclave systems to sterilize media, water, and laboratory materials as requested by research teams

  • Update and maintain accurate work-related documentation and records in compliance with regulatory requirements and good documentation practices

  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards while working in applicable laboratory areas

  • Collaborate effectively with laboratory staff and other employees to achieve departmental objectives and company goals

  • Execute laboratory support activities accurately and within required timeframes while assisting with additional lab services operations as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent with strong foundational education in basic sciences or related coursework

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in laboratory, clinical, or similar technical environment preferred

  • Proficiency in computer programs and laboratory information management systems with ability to learn new software quickly

  • Demonstrated experience working safely in team-based, high-performance, quality-driven environments with attention to detail

  • Ability to perform required job functions with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and efficiency

  • Physical capability to perform field work including frequent walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting/carrying materials up to required weight limits

  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed protocols and safety procedures consistently

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous hands-on experience in clinical, research laboratory, or pharmaceutical manufacturing settings

  • Relevant training, certifications, or coursework in laboratory techniques, safety protocols, or equipment operation

  • Familiarity with laboratory compliance requirements including GLP, GMP, or similar regulatory frameworks

  • Experience with autoclave operation, laboratory glassware handling, and specialized cleaning protocols

  • Basic understanding of laboratory safety practices including chemical handling and waste disposal procedures

  • Knowledge of laboratory documentation systems and experience maintaining accurate records in regulated environments

Location: Onsite

Work Shift: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm

This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Estimated compensation for this position:

43,000.00 - 49,920.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
