Description

The Portfolio & Finance division of the Industry sector is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the design and global deployment of molecular biology reagents intended for the agri-food industry. Part of these developments is carried out in partnership with end customers, specifically addressing needs for the detection of bacterial agents affecting the quality or safety of manufactured products. Project team members and project sponsors are primarily based at the Philadelphia site, but also in France (Craponne and Grenoble).

Reporting to the Portfolio & Projects Manager, the Project Manager will collaborate with other project managers (instrument, software, reagents) within the team.

Primary Duties

  1. Responsible for cross-functional management of development and support projects for the existing product range, from requirements gathering to market launch:
  2. Leads the cross-functional team in place.
  3. Implements and, if necessary, adjusts the project plan based on key challenges, identifying resource needs and working closely with relevant functions to ensure the necessary resources are available for successful project execution.
  4. Manages projects according to established timelines, monitors progress, identifies potential issues, defines priorities, and adapts action plans in line with project objectives.
  5. Coordinates with Marketing and other relevant functions to prepare for commercial launch (Go to Market).
  6. Ensures compliance with design control requirements in accordance with applicable regulations and internal procedures. Conducts project risk analyses and leads the implementation of prevention and mitigation plans.
  7. Provides regular updates on project progress to the project team, relevant programs, functional managers, and executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  1. Engineering degree in technical or sciences fields or equivalent required
  2. At least 5 years of project management experience, with a proven ability to unite diverse skills and profiles.

Additional Preferred Experience:

  1. Experience in the development and manufacturing of products involving biology.
  2. Knowledge of the regulatory environment in the agri-food sector.
  3. Experience working with partners or subcontractors.
  4. Experience in preparing the commercialization of complex and innovative solutions.
  5. Experience in managing projects/programs, including Go to Market activities.
  6. Proficiency in project and resource management tools (Planisware).
  7. Proficiency in French

The estimated salary range for this role is between $89,800 - $143,300. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux's bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate's experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
