Your Job

The Compute Leader at Koch Technologies is responsible for driving the strategic vision, operational excellence, and innovation across the organization's Compute infrastructure which includes Linux, Windows, Storage, Backup/Recovery and Datacenter. This role leads a high-performing global team to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient Compute solutions that align with business outcomes, empower transformation, and rock-solid operations. The Compute Leader collaborates with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, the businesses and external partners to ensure the Compute environment supports current and future business needs.

Location: This role can be located in Wichita, KS / Plano, TX / Atlanta, GA and requires an onsite presence 5 days/week.

What You Will Do

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and maintain the roadmap for Compute infrastructure, aligning with business objectives and long-term growth strategies.
  • Architecture & Rock-Solid Operations: Lead the operations of scalable, secure, and resilient Compute architecture, including cloud, virtualization, and data center solutions.
  • Innovation & Transformation: Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, fostering innovation through experimentation and adoption of best practices.
  • Team Development: Lead a global team of analysts, engineers and architects, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
  • Develop Meaningful Business Connections: Partner with internal teams (Businesses, IT Operations, Product Owners, Security, etc.) and external vendors to drive strategic initiatives and ensure seamless execution.
  • Process Optimization and Modernization: Identify and implement process improvements, automation/modernization opportunities, and operational efficiencies to enhance reliability, scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure Compute environments adhere to security, compliance, and quality standards, supporting audits and risk management activities.
  • Performance Management: Present architecture strategies, product updates, and performance metrics to senior leadership and the businesses, driving accountability and transparency.
  • Strong Critical & Economic Thinking Skills - Demonstrated ability to think economically & strategically, drive transformation, optimize operations, and deliver business outcomes through technology, people and processes.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Demonstrated global leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in Compute infrastructure, IT operations, or related technical leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale Compute environments (cloud, virtualization, data centers).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V), operating systems (Linux, Windows) and enterprise server/storage solutions.
  • Experience with automation frameworks (Ansible, Terraform, DevOps practices) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
