ARES is seeking a Project Manager to provide project management for the Chief Data and Artificial intelligence Office (CDO / CAIO) in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is the Agency's enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications through the use of the internet, digital platforms, and IT management for NASA's Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, to producing engaging videos, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA's message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA's communication to the outside world. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will include but not be limited to the following efforts:
- Provide the following services in support of AI adoption:
- Evaluate generative AI capabilities to understand their effectiveness and conduct assessments of GenAI tools.
- Facilitate the identification of GenAI use-cases that support common needs or organization specific business requirements.
- Support the evaluation of AI models for vulnerabilities, e.g., adversarial attacks, model drift, data poisoning, bias, hallucinations, prompt injection, and privacy leaks.
- Support the integration and testing of APIs, connectors, and new tools, helping evaluate basic functionality, reliability, and user readiness.
- Assist with user onboarding and access management, including helping set up accounts, permissions, workspace configurations, and basic cluster settings.
- Support the configuration and upkeep of AI Lab environments, including clusters, libraries, runtimes, and workspace components used for data and AI experimentation.
- Assist with the development and maintain simple data preparation workflows and reusable notebooks that enable users to ingest, transform, and work with data in the AI Lab.
- Assist with the configuration and update of dashboards and reports that provide insight into Lab usage, computer consumption, cost trends, training participation, and user activity.
- Provide user assistance and troubleshooting, helping resolve common issues related to notebooks, clusters, access, environment configuration, and workflow execution.
- Assist with applying compute and cost-management practices, such as autoscaling, right-sizing, and idle cluster cleanup, to support efficient use of Lab resources.
- Contribute to documentation and user-enablement materials, and participate in demos, working groups, and collaborative testing activities to support Lab adoption and improvement.
- Provide basic "consulting-style" support to non-technical users, helping them understand how to use
- Lab tools, select appropriate workflows, and apply the Lab's capabilities to real mission or business problems.
- Assist with Lab awareness, outreach, and adoption activities, including preparing simple demos, showcasing example projects, gathering adoption metrics, and helping communicate Lab successes to broaden visibility and engagement.
EDUCATION & WORK REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum education - BA/BS in Project Management, Communications, Business Administration, or an IT related discipline.
- Minimum Experience - 0-4 Years.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 0-4 years of project management experience.
- 0-4 years of business/mission (outcomes/impacts), strategic/tactical (project planning) and operational (implementation/service/product delivery) experience.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to multimedia hardware and software.
- Experience with quality assurance testing and performance analysis.
- Ability to conduct research and integrate new technologies.
- Experience with Risk Management and best practices.
- Experience using tools for requirements gathering and implementation.
- Experience in creating and maintaining Integrated master schedules and applying earned value management techniques (desired, not required).

- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, OneDrive), and SharePoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Agile/Scrum Certification, SAFe Agile Certification.
- Machine Learning experience.
- Proficiency in Deep Learning and AI development tools (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow / Databricks, Cluster Configurations).
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Leadership and communication skills, along with the ability to manage complex projects and develop strong relationships with stakeholders.
