We have an opening in our Monmouth Junction, NJ facility for a Director, Market Access, Operations

This position is responsible for managing the operational infrastructure supporting the company's ADHD product portfolio market access strategy. She/he serves as primary operational liaison across Market Access, Trade, Finance, Legal, and Analytics functions, ensuring seamless execution of contracting, pricing governance, government compliance, and vendor management. The Director orchestrates complex cross-functional workflows, manages day-to-day vendor relationships (particularly with IntegriChain as the Business Process Outsourcing partner), and ensures operational excellence in contract administration, rebate validation, government pricing compliance, and pricing committee coordination.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages end-to-end contract administration for GPO agreements (Ascent, Emisar, Zinc) and other payer contracts, including redlining contract language, coordinating cross-functional review and approval workflows, and ensuring execution consistent with organizational standards and legal requirements
  • Maintains comprehensive contract tracking system and electronic repository in accordance with document retention requirements; prepares contract summaries and proposes amendment strategies based on existing contract language as requested by Market Access leadership
  • Serves as primary day-to-day operational contact for IntegriChain (BPO partner), managing data file submissions, utilization reporting, rebate validation processes, and issue escalation to ensure accurate and timely contract payment processing
  • Oversees IntegriChain's rebate validation activities; reviews utilization data to ensure appropriate contracting coverage and manages payment disputes with payers in coordination with Finance and Account Directors
  • Maintains comprehensive checklist of monthly and quarterly reporting requirements for Federal and State programs including MDRP (Medicaid Drug Rebate Program), Medicare Parts B and D, Public Health Service/340B, and VA Federal Supply Schedule
  • Collaborates with The Pricing Group (government pricing advisory) to ensure any pricing, contracting, or operational changes comply with current regulations and government pricing methodologies; validates that SOPs, calculations, and reporting processes maintain compliance
  • Manages all Pricing Committee logistics including scheduling meetings with project leads and committee members, preparing and distributing agendas and supporting materials, documenting meeting minutes, and tracking approval decisions
  • Maintains Pricing Committee Charter and internal policy documentation; ensures governance documents reflect current processes, decision-making requirements, roles and responsibilities, and organizational evolution
  • Drafts, updates, and monitors Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) governing Market Access operations including contract approval workflows, data integrity requirements, pricing committee processes, and government pricing compliance; ensures procedures reflect current State and Federal regulations and industry guidance
  • Periodically reviews documented SOPs, roles and responsibilities to ensure alignment with internal titles, external vendor relationships, and evolving processes; recommends updates to Market Access leadership

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree required (advanced degree preferred) and minimum 8 years experience in Market Access Operations, Contracts & Pricing or Government Pricing in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or specialty pharmaceutical industry in positions of increasing operational and technical responsibility
  • Current, hands-on experience with pharmaceutical contracting operations, rebate validation processes, and utilization data reconciliation; strong understanding of GPO contracting structures and payer operational workflows
  • Deep working knowledge of government pricing regulations including MDRP (Medicaid Drug Rebate Program), Medicare Part D, 340B, and VA Federal Supply Schedule; understanding of Best Price, AMP and related pricing calculations and compliance requirements
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical contract terms, language, and provisions for payer-manufacturer agreements; ability to redline contracts and identify strategic implications and legal/compliance risks
  • Experience with contract management systems and pharmaceutical data platforms; ability to define user requirements and support system implementation projects

Work Arrangements: We are a HYBRID work environment requiring local candidates to be able to work majority of week in our NJ office. Non-local candidates must be able to come into office multiple times a month, or as needed.

Anticipated salary range: $195K to $215K/yr. Base salary offered is contingent on assessment of candidate's education and experience level relative to requirements of the position and a review of related industry standards and internal equity.
