Are you a people-oriented individual in your early to mid-career, looking to make a meaningful impact? Summit is seeking an Information Security Intern who is motivated by the opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of our members and the security of our organization.
Job Summary

Support Summit's cybersecurity program by assisting with daily security operations, monitoring, and risk management activities. You'll analyze security alerts, assist in incident response investigations, perform vulnerability scans, and help document remediation actions. You'll also participate in policy reviews, security awareness initiatives, and compliance/audit preparation tasks.


Project Goals

  • Evaluate Summit's alignment to CIS Controls v8.1.
  • Map existing security processes and technologies to CIS Safeguards.
  • Identify maturity levels and document gaps or improvement opportunities.
  • Deliver a CIS Controls compliance matrix or gap assessment.


Skills & Qualifications

  • Foundational understanding of networking, operating systems, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Familiarity with frameworks like CIS Controls and NIST CSF.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, curiosity, and professionalism.
  • Ability to work on CIS compliance assessments, vulnerability validation, and asset inventory improvements.
  • Teamwork and technical insight are essential.
