University Communications has two openings for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Drupal Developer position.
We are seeking two skilled Drupal Developer to join our team. The ideal candidateshavestrongexperience with Drupal (Drupal 8 or later;Drupal 10preferred), modern web development practices, and familiarity with DevOps workflows. These roles focuses onmaintainingand enhancing Drupal environments, supporting codebase management, and ensuring site performance, security, and accessibility. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential, as you will work closely with marketing, IT,stakeholders,and other campus partners to deliver reliable solutions.

What you will do:
Senior Drupal Developer:
* Develop andmaintainDrupal-based websites and applications.
* Support institutional website maintenance andassistwith migrations from legacy systems to Drupal.
* Collaborate with designers, project managers, and stakeholders to implement technical requirements.
* Develop custom Drupal modules, themes, and integrations.
* Assist with CI/CD workflows using tools such as Bitbucket, GitHub Actions, or similar.
* Work with hosting environments, preferably Pantheon, andutilizeTerminus for automation.
* Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and responsive design best practices.
* Optimizewebsites for performance, scalability, and security.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during development and production.
* Stay current with Drupal community best practices and emerging web technologies.
Principal Drupal Developer additional duties:
* ArchitectDrupal-based websites and applications.
* Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Bitbucket, GitHub Actions, or similar.
* Manage hosting environments, preferably Pantheon, andutilizeTerminus for automation.
Qualifications you already possess (Minimum Qualifications)
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Senior Drupal Developer:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Scienceor related field.
* 2 years of professional web development experience, including 2 years focused on Drupal.
* Experience with Drupal 8 or later.
* Equivalent experience of 4 years if no bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Principal Drupal Developer additional minimum qualifications:
* 3 years (total) of professional web development experience, including 3 years (total) focused on Drupal.
Preferred Qualification to possess (Preferred Qualifications)
Senior Drupal Developer:
* Experience workingfora higher educationinstitution.
* Experience with Drupal 10.
* Experience with Pantheon workflows and automated deployments in higher education environments.
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Bitbucket, GitHub Actions, or similar.
* Familiarity with sales/marketing environments where brand storytelling and lead generation are key drivers.
* Experience integrating Drupal with third-party systems (CRM, analytics, etc.).
* Experience withcontainerization and local development environments (e.g., Docker, DDEV).
* Experience with multisite setups in Drupal and Pantheon.
Principal Drupal Developer additional preferred qualifications:
* Creation, ownership, and leadership of Drupal projects, including hosting, CI/CD, third-party integration, and local development in Drupal.
* 5+ years (total) of professional web development experience, including 5 years (total) focused on Drupal
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Senior Drupal Developer:
* Proficient Drupal experience (Drupal 8 or later; Drupal 10 preferred).
* Knowledge of PHP, Composer,Drush, and configuration management in Drupal.
* Proficiencyin front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).
* Basic familiarity with Pantheon hosting platform and Terminus CLI.
* Understanding ofCI/CD workflows and version control systems (Bitbucket, Git, etc.).
* Database management skills (MySQL or similar).
* Understanding ofweb accessibility standards, SEO best practices, and security hardening.
* Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
* Good communicationand collaboration abilities.
Principal Drupal Developer additional knowledge, skill, and abilities:
* Expert-level Drupal experience (Drupal 8 or later; Drupal 10 strongly preferred).
* Strong knowledge of PHP, Composer,Drush, and configuration management in Drupal.
* Experience with Pantheon hosting platform and Terminus CLI.
* Proficiencywith CI/CD workflows and version control systems (Bitbucket, Git, etc.).
Conditions of Employment
* This position is fully remote, and the candidate can work anywhere in the United States, although we would welcome an in-office presence.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at 76,023 - $84,026 (Senior Drupal Developer) & $84,100 - $91,908 (Principal Dupal Developer).
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
