Lactalis US Yogurt, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Quality Control Lab Technician based in Londonderry, NH.

The Quality Lab Technician will perform timely and accurate evaluations and analysis of raw materials, products, processes, and facilities that support the efficient manufacturing and shipment of quality products according to specifications at our manufacturing facility.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Maintain and enforce strict adherence to all quality standards, including the pasteurized milk ordinance and State regulations.
  • Ensure consistent communication and enforcement of all company Quality policies, Good Manufacturing Practice compliance, and Food Safety regulatory standards.
  • Assure the accuracy of all food safety records and documents.
  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver appropriate Quality, Food Safety, and HACCP training and communication for all employees.
  • Manage all activities supporting the manufacturing plant, including staff education on quality standards, FS22000 programs, and HACCP plans for all products and processes.
  • Evaluate, investigate, and implement corrective actions based on microbiological evidence found during routine sampling.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance on new installations and equipment updates to ensure sanitary design and compliance with food safety programs.
  • Partner with Manufacturing to minimize quality loss and boost productivity while upholding all food safety standards.
  • Manage product specifications in the SAP database, including updating existing specifications and creating new product entries.
  • Utilize statistical tools to evaluate quality and compliance trends.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Yes - you read that right! Our two week rotation in Production allows our team members to have every other Friday, Saturday, Sunday off!

We run 12 hour shifts - Week 1: 48 Hours, Week 2: 36 hours

6:30am - 6:30pm

  • Week 1: Sat - On, Sun - On, Mon - Off, Tues - Off, Wed - On Thurs - On, Fri - Off
  • Week 2: Sat - Off, Sun - Off, Mon - On, Tues - On, Wed - Off, Thurs - Off, Fri - On

From your STORY to ours

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience (5 years) required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • A major in a scientific discipline is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in the food industry is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of milk and dairy product science and technology, including understanding milk components and their interactions during processing, and the ability to link product characteristics (e.g., chemistry, % fat, pH) to packaging constraints (e.g., stress cracking, migration).
  • Proven ability to develop and implement policies and procedures to investigate and resolve non-compliant quality issues.
  • Working knowledge of Quality standards such as QHSE and HACCP Codex.
  • Proficiency in applying statistical principles to manage metrology, monitor method accuracy, and validate routine versus reference methods.
  • Understanding of food safety systems with the ability to support and champion quality initiatives (e.g., HACCP certification, ISO registration) and assist in the quality launch of new projects, equipment, and products.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to take a holistic and systematic approach to problem-solving and long-term planning.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and diplomatically, adapting style and tone to engage different audiences.
  • Confident presentation skills, with the ability to structure and deliver effective presentations tailored to the audience.
