Position Summary

We are seeking a Revenue Accountant with hands-on NetSuite expertise and proven experience in SaaS and software revenue recognition. The role will focus on maintaining accurate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, accounting for subscription and license models, in NetSuite. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in US GAAP, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Sales Operations and FP&A.

Key Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day revenue accounting operations for SaaS subscriptions, perpetual & Tima bases licenses, professional services, and multi-element arrangements.
• Review customer contracts to identify performance obligations and ensure compliance with ASC 606.
• Manage deferred revenue schedules and revenue recognition entries in NetSuite.
• Reconcile revenue-related accounts including deferred revenue and unbilled receivables.
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries and revenue-related adjustments.
• Support the month-end close process, including reporting, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, FP&A, Legal) on contract structures and revenue implications.
• Assist with audit requests and ensure compliance with controls and company policies.
• Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements within NetSuite to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2+ years in SaaS or software revenue accounting.
• Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 and US GAAP for subscription and software arrangements.
• NetSuite ERP experience, including advanced revenue recognition modules(ARM) preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze large data sets.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
