Position Summary
The NIL Coordinator is responsible for aiding the Name, Image, Likeness ( NIL) program effort to facilitate marketing opportunities for student-athletes. This position will aid every member of UGAAA's NIL department to ensure coaches, staff, and external stakeholders have the tools and resources necessary to maximize opportunities. This includes ensuring all memebers of the office have access to up-to-date information regarding prospective brand relationships and interactions. This role is also responsible for aiding the management of new athlete partnership opportunities with local, regional, and national brands, in alignment with the institution's adherence to Southeastern Conference and NCAA regulations.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Organized, detailed oriented, and a self-starter.
  • Working knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance practices.
  • Knowledge of NCAA technological processes such as TeamWorks.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Aid in the Identification of specific name, image and likeness(NIL) opportunities for student-athletes by proactively reaching out to local business and supporters
  • Aid in the facilitation of NIL deals between student-athletes and third- parties (including but not limited to, collectives, corporate partners, donors, and other brands.)
  • Alongside the Altius Athlete Marketing Manager, provide support to student-athletes in fulfilling NIL obligations, pitching themselves to businesses and maximizing marketing opportunities.
  • Alongside the Learfield Allied plus position, provide support to Georgia Bulldogs Sports Marketing in campaign, activation, and asset ideation.

  • Maintain accurate records on all existing and prospective brand relationships and interactions.
  • Stay updated on the latest NIL trends and best practices, including legislative advancements, NCAA compliance regulations, and vendor landscape evolutions.
  • Research and benchmark collegiate NIL industry and stay current with relevant market trends and conditions.
  • Maintain highest level of confidentiality, both within organization, applicable university, and other external entities.
  • Collaborate on NIL initiatives and cross-department functions with other UGAAA entities including Creative Services, student-athlete development, DEI, social media and Compliance.
