Job Purpose

At Sanmina, we are committed to creating exceptional and sustainable solutions for our customers and our employees. The Sales Trainee will develop relationships, target customers to penetrate organization and open doors to new business opportunities.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities

The candidate will learn to deploy a global account strategy in conjunction with Management in order to achieve aims and objectives set for the business. The Sales Trainee will be assigned sales revenue targets set by Management, with milestone goals in order to achieve revenue results. The Sales Trainee will communicate issues and problems back into the company to drive and assist with resolution. The Sales Trainee will identify, qualify and close new business in line with set quotas and engage appropriate resources from cross-functional teams to ensure successful business execution.

Additional responsibilities will be to own and manage related RFQs and ensure timely response delivery and feed information back into Management in support of developing Business Plans. The Sales Trainee will regularly update the sales data system with customer data, new opportunity logs and call plans.

Education and Experience



  • BA or BS or equivalent work experience,
  • 0-2 years of sales experience
  • Knowledge of CM/EMS industry with background in Manufacturing with an understanding of global Supply Chains a plus, but not required
  • Well rounded experience in high-tech applications; communications, industrial, medical, military, alternate energy market segments
  • Highly motivated with entrepreneurial attitude and outlook, strong work ethics with high level of integrity
  • Demonstrable success in developing and winning new accounts.
  • MS Office and Google skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, interpersonal and closing skills
  • Experience working with vast remote cross-functional teams in large matrix organizations
  • Project management skills are desired with excellent ability to prioritize, multi-task and organize
  • Overnight travel as required

Salary Range (annual) : $49,920.00 - $77,896.00

Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
