Join the heart of campus life at the University of Arizona Student Unions, where culinary creativity meets community. We're seeking a passionate Senior Manager II to bring their skills to our dynamic Starbucks team.
Incumbent will be responsible for 3 franchise dining locations across campus with a projected revenue of $6.4M. Responsible for leading a team of restaurant managers and supervisors and overseeing the performance of all locations. This position reports to the Assistant Director, Franchises.

This position requires evening, weekend, and holiday work.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supervises, leads, and develops the store managers and supervisors of three Starbucks locations, empowering them to run their stores effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
  • Oversee multiple stores, ensuring consistent execution of operations, service standards and product quality by providing coaching, feedback and development opportunities to managers and staff. As the primary licensee liaison, collaborate with corporate leaders, to ensure a consistent customer experience including: store design, menus and operations and quality control.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels across locations, oversee recruitment, training and performance management to maintain operational requirements.
  • Monitor and manage the financial performance of all locations including; analyzing financial reports, identifying areas for improvement and working with store managers to achieve profitability targets.
  • Implements business strategies and company initiatives as directed by upper management and corporate leaders; participates in strategy discussions but does not independently create new strategies.
  • Act as a resource for store managers providing expertise and support on key customer issues, team staffing and store operations. Implement company programs and initiatives.
  • Responsible for effectively communication and implementing new programs and initiatives across all locations.
  • Completes required records and reports, including, but not limited to, those addressing inventory control and personnel.
  • Understand customer preferences and trends to ensure each store provides a positive and memorable experience.
  • Ensure adherence to Starbucks strict brand standards, employee training, and operating guidelines to maintain consistency and quality across all locations.
  • Drive to and from each Starbucks units as needed.
  • Play an active role in managing stores, as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of job functions and industry best practices, techniques and standards.
  • Ability to transfer knowledge and application of complex principle, theories and concepts to peers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively. Demonstrated knowledge, cost, and food items, food service equipment, and supplies.
  • Must be able to work evenings, days, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift, move or transport a maximum of 50 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Five years of related work experience, including 2 years of managerial experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Three years in managerial experience preferably in a high volume restaurant/cafe.
