We are looking for a Purchasing Manager who will play a key role in supporting the commercial construction team by managing sourcing, scheduling, pricing, and supplier coordination. This position is responsible for identifying and securing materials, obtaining competitive pricing, and ensuring timely deliveries to meet project timelines. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills to effectively coordinate with vendors, project managers, and field teams, ensuring smooth operations across all purchasing and supply chain activities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full procurement lifecycle for commercial construction projects, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and equipment
  • Source and evaluate suppliers, obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and manage delivery schedules
  • Coordinate material and equipment orders, issue purchase orders, and track deliveries to construction sites
  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and field teams to align procurement timing with project milestones
  • Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
  • Resolve procurement and delivery issues, and escalate when necessary
  • Contribute to cost saving initiatives and ensure compliance with procurement policies and project specifications
  • Perform other duties as required to support business needs

Education and Experience:

Education: Bachelor's degree in construction management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Experience: Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred: 5+ years of administrative or office management experience in the construction industry.

Strong knowledge of construction documentation, processes, and terminology.
