The Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant provides comprehensive legal support to attorneys and litigation teams within a federal government environment. This role requires strong analytical skills, experience using Relativity, and a solid background in cite checking, Bluebooking, trial preparation, document review, and case management. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of litigation paralegal experience and be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, detail-driven setting. Case & Litigation Support

Examine and evaluate information in case files to determine litigation worthiness and applicable legal authorities. -
Conduct research on legislative developments, administrative and judicial decisions, and agency determinations. -
Provide substantive legal analysis for attorney review, including responses under various federal acts. -
Assist attorneys throughout the lifecycle of cases, including evidence gathering, fact development, and coordination of litigation activities. -
Prepare, organize, and maintain case files, exhibits, and trial materials.
Investigation & Evidence Development

Identify and obtain additional information, evidence, and witnesses needed to support litigation. -
Conduct on-site visits, interviews, and comprehensive reviews of operational records. -
Evaluate relevance, reliability, and credibility of evidence collected. -
Identify and analyze record-keeping systems, including electronic databases and computer information systems.
Data & Analytical Work

Compile and summarize comparative data to identify trends, patterns, and potential violations. -
Perform basic statistical analyses (e.g., standard deviations, regression analysis, weighting) that support case theories. -
Prepare clear, compelling charts, graphs, and tables to illustrate findings for attorney use. -
Analyze data and develop actionable recommendations for attorney review.
Witness & Trial Preparation

Interview potential witnesses and assist in preparing them for court appearances. -
Coordinate trial logistics and maintain custody of all exhibits, documents, and sensitive materials. -
May appear in court as a witness to testify regarding exhibits or analyses performed.
Legal Research & Writing

Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, summaries, and supporting documents. -
Perform cite checking and ensure accuracy and compliance with Bluebook citation standards. -
Utilize Relativity for e-discovery tasks, document review, and file management.
Pay includes $25.58 hourly wage + $5.09 Health & Welfare
