JOB SUMMARY

An Implementation Specialist at Doble Engineering will help customers successfully adopt Doble Enterprise Data Management Solutions, like PowerBase. This entry-level role with growth potential focuses on assisting with implementation projects, delivering training, and providing technical support to customers. This role will collaborate closely with senior team members to ensure customers achieve maximum value from Doble's software offerings. This position offers an excellent opportunity to build expertise in enterprise data management, compliance, and digital transformation within the utility sector, with a clear path to senior implementation or product specialist roles as you gain experience. The contributions of this role will directly influence customer efficiency, compliance, and confidence in working with Doble, strengthening relationships and driving innovation in how utilities manage data and testing processes. This role is based in our Tulsa, OK office or fully remote options outside Tulsa may be considered based on qualifications. This role will report to the Implementation & Support Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS



  • Implementation & Configuration

    • Assist customers in configuring and deploying PowerBase and other Doble solutions.
    • Advise customers on best practices for the use of PowerBase and other Doble solutions.
    • Support workflow development to align with customer operational needs.
    • Collaborate with project managers and senior specialists to meet project milestones.


  • Customer Training

    • Deliver training sessions (remote or onsite) on PowerBase and other Doble solutions.
    • Assist in creating training agendas and instructional materials for in-person and eLearning formats.


  • Technical Support

    • Provide first-line technical assistance via phone, email, or web conferencing.
    • Document and escalate issues to senior team members or development as needed.
    • Act as liaison between customer and PowerBase support team to efficiently resolve customers support needs.
    • Assist with testing new product features and provide feedback to engineering.
    • Take ownership of support cases, ensuring timely updates and accurate communication.


  • Sales & Customer Engagement

    • Participate in roadshows, web demos, conferences/trade shows, sales demos and other company sponsored events.
    • Identify opportunities for additional services during training and support activities.
    • Collaborate with Doble sales team for customer engagement activities




  • Continuous Improvement

    • Contribute feedback on product usability and customer experience.
    • Document lessons learned and share best practices to improve team efficiency


  • Travel

    • Willingness to travel up to 30% for events, sales demos, training and implementation support.




QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:



  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Equivalent experience or internship in a technical or customer-facing role will be considered.
  • 3+ years of electrical power industry relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

  • Ability to maintain accuracy in documentation and communication across multiple channels.


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (Not Required):



  • Experience in a relevant role within the electrical power industry.
  • Alternatively, experience providing technical application support, end-user support, or assisting with software implementation projects.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Oracle, or general data management concepts.
  • Fundamental knowledge of utility operations, including compliance, protection and control, and testing systems.
  • Exposure to project coordination or training development is a plus.
  • Interest in emerging topics such as cybersecurity, data governance, and digital transformation.
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience with Doble PowerBase and/or other Doble data management solutions like RTS, Protection Suite, DTA, DTAWeb, and InsideVIEW.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:



  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and coherently, both verbally and in writing, to customers with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain a professional attitude with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage competing deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and MS Access.
  • Familiarity with ORACLE and SQL SERVER preferred.
  • Experience with SQL queries and statements preferred .
  • Exposure to APIs, data integration, or cloud concepts is a plus.
  • Comfort with structured workflows and ability to suggest improvements.
  • Project management training or exposure is helpful.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job. Must be capable of lifting 30 pounds. Must use assistance when lifting 50 or more pounds.

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job related skills, as well as relevant education or training experience.
