The James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona is seeking to hire an Assistant Registrar (Registration and Records Manager I). The incumbent will assist in managing all aspects of registrar services at the James E. Rogers College of Law. This includes assisting with student registration and record keeping, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of student and institutional records, compliance with all relevant state and federal laws and regulations, and reporting to relevant institutional stakeholders and state bars. The Assistant Registrar will work under the Interim Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and will work closely with deans, staff, and faculty to enforce academic policy. | Duties & Responsibilities |
- Performs all Registrar services for students and faculty, including but not limited to:
- Schedule creation and maintenance.
- Student registration.
- Transcript processing.
- Grade processing.
- Transfer credit evaluation.
- Graduation audits and conferral.
- Processing of student requests for information.
- Preparing correspondence from the Registrar to various parties needing information about the College of Law and its students.
- Planning and scheduling of Registrar events during the academic year.
- Manages compilation, recording, verification, and dissemination of all data related to student enrollment, curriculum, academic progress, and grades to relevant constituencies within the University of Arizona, state, and federal accreditation agencies.
- Supervisor responsibilities for University staff employee and student workers.
- Assists with all aspects of course registration including:
- Ensuring the accuracy of course scheduled in UAccess and on the College of Law website.
- Monitoring waitlists.
- Troubleshooting registration issues for students and faculty.
- Collaborating with other departments for cross-listed courses.
- Processing canceled or changed courses.
- Assigning classrooms.
- Responding to room change requests from instructors.
- Assists Academic Affairs team with preparation and administration of midterm and final exams, including:
- Helping Assistant Dean of Student Affairs with administering final exams to students receiving accommodations.
- Providing grade worksheets to faculty.
- Ensuring accuracy of all grades prior to posting them.
- Managing the course evaluation/TCE process, including:
- Scheduling evaluations for each course.
- Recruiting and scheduling proctors to administer the evaluation.
- Processing all course evaluations/TCE data for reporting to individual instructors.
- Preparing a report for ranking faculty based on the evaluations/TCEs.
- Drafting a memo for the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs highlighting important data from the evaluations/TCEs.

- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in an organized way.
- Ability to learn computer software and systems relevant to registrar services.
- Ability to compile and analyze data accurately.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
