PT Grant-Funded Project Assistant


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Job Functions



  • Provide administrative support to the Program Delivery Partners with the daily operations of the FTC Robotics Program. Responsibilities include team recruitment, mentor recruitment, event planning, budget monitoring, coach assistance, and perform other FTC-related tasks as required.
  • Coordinate teams with their leagues.
  • Respond appropriately to requests and inquiries from participants, potential participants, affiliated organizations, other educational organizations, partners, etc. in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain reports and data as needed for San Jacinto College and FIRST Robotics.


Additional Job Functions:



  • Maintains a professional environment in the robotics lab and functions for events.
  • Plan and execute robotics events such as FTC Regional Championship.
  • Participate in other P-16 STEM Outreach as needed.

REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  • Excellent customer service and written/verbal communication skills, ability to problem solve, and business skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced level computer application skills especially in MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must have excellent organizational and time management skills, public relations skills, be detail-oriented, a self-starter, and a customer-friendly person with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must have the ability to work independently, in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with little supervision.


Education and Experience:

Required Education:



  • High school diploma or equivalent


Preferred Education:



  • Associate degree


Required Experience:



  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience with robotics and/or FLL and FTC programs


Preferred Experience:



  • Previous experience in higher education preferred with a concentration in administrative experience.
  • Experience with FIRST Robotics preferred.
