As a Therapeutic Activities Supervisor, you will plan, organize, and implement a therapeutic activities program. You will work with and supervise a staff delivering programs designed to address the competencies, capabilities, and interests of our residents. You will develop quality balanced activity programs that fulfill social, emotional, physical, and cognitive needs. This role requires effective communication to encourage resident participation and as well as a genuine desire to support each resident's progress. In addition, you will evaluate staff, coordinate center-wide everts, and train new employees.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 8:30 PM to 4:30 PM, Sunday -Thursday, with a 30-minute lunch. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.
• Overtime as needed
• Free parking
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of experience as a Therapeutic Activities Worker (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Two years of professional experience providing therapeutic activities for individuals with physical, medical, or cognitive disabilities; and a bachelor's degree with major coursework in therapeutic recreation; physical education; vocational rehabilitation; vocational education or counseling; art, music, dance, or occupational therapies; or a related human service services field; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Legal Requirements:

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
