Title:Electrical Engineer (Varies) POSITION CONCEPT: The Engineer II is an intermediate level position working under limited supervision and receives both specific and limited instructions as to required tasks and results expected; performs a variety of routine tasks utilizing experience and familiarity with the standards, processes, procedures, methods, practices and programs of the Department and Company. Emphasis for this position is on an intermediate level of electrical engineering with equipment and processes commonly utilized in power plants, such as, but not limited to generators, excitation systems, AC/DC motors, low and medium voltage switchgear, transformers, batteries, relay protection/coordination, emergency generators, and precipitators. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION: Required: Minimum of Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited four year college. Preferred: Advanced education /training in electrical engineering. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Preferred: Pass the Florida Fundamentals of Engineering exam. EXPERIENCE: Required: Engineer Associate: none Engineer I: Minimum of 18 months year of work experience related to the Duties & Responsibilities of this position in the area of power plant engineering or 12 months with FE. Engineer II: 4 years of engineering experience related to the duties and responsibilities Preferred: Demonstrated knowledge of Company policies and work procedures. Proficient skill with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Power Point. Knowledge of OSI Pi Historian. Demonstrated knowledge of project engineering in electrical engineering. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Required: Demonstrated sound knowledge in electrical engineering work related areas. Preferred: Demonstrated knowledge of Company policies and work procedures. Proficient skill with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Power Point. Knowledge of OSI Pi Historian. Demonstrated knowledge of project engineering in electrical engineering. COMPETENCIES:
