Responsibilities The Barista is primarily responsible for preparing coffee drinks and food. Running the cash register for the coffee shop. Essential Functions: Prepares coffee shop for serving beverage and food items Prepares all product necessary for opening of business day Follows correct procedures for brewing of all teas and coffees and follows guidelines concerning shelf life Sets up all food items in accordance to schedule Sets up deli and pastry case Displays food items in an attractive manner. Replenishes and maintains quantities during serving hours Sets up cash register and counts the cash drawer Serves customers during business hours Serves all beverages and foods according to recipes and demonstrates product knowledge Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience: One (1) to two (2) years of food service and coffee shop experience preferred.
