Job Description

The Director, Business Banking is responsible for setting and executing the strategic vision for Business Banking within the Consumer Division. This leader drives enterprise-wide growth initiatives, oversees operational excellence, and ensures delivery of superior client experiences across all channels. The Director is accountable for achieving aggressive deposit and loan growth targets, expanding the bank's market presence, and fostering cross-functional collaboration with other business lines. This role requires a forward-thinking leader who can anticipate market trends, champion innovation, and build high-performing teams to deliver sustained business results.

How You'll Spend Your Time
  • You will provide leadership and direction to the Business Banking team, directly managing the Business Banking sales leaders. This will include establishing performance goals and objectives, recruiting, regular performance check-ins, salary recommendations and staffing changes.
  • You will develop strategic objectives and initiatives by partnering with adjacent lines of business to define and analyze strategic opportunities.
  • You will work directly with the COO Consumer Banking, to develop consistent and specific sales strategies, priorities, targets, performance standards, marketing plans and accomplishments.
  • You will represent BOK Financial in the community by serving on boards or as a volunteer in community organizations.
  • You will ensure compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one's duties.
Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field of study and 12-15 years of directly related experience in Business Banking or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams, foster engagement, and drive results across sales and operations.
  • Deep working knowledge of business banking products and services, including treasury management, lending, and wealth management.
  • Advanced analytical skills, including database and spreadsheet analysis; strong problem-solving capability and decision-making based on business and industry knowledge.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain partnerships across multiple business lines and functions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to prepare and deliver persuasive presentations and reports to senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to champion organizational change, drive adoption of new technologies and processes, and identify innovative business opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of market trends, competitive landscape, and financial management to inform strategy and achieve growth targets.
  • Thorough knowledge of banking laws, regulations, and policies; skilled in identifying and managing risks.
  • Exceptional priority setting, organization, and multi-tasking skills to manage projects in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in PC applications, including Word and Excel.
