Job Summary

The Marketing Coordinator - Events will be responsible for planning, coordinating and executing internal and external events that enhance TDIndustries' value and help strengthen its brand. This role ensures seamless event delivery by managing logistics, budgets, vendor relationships and on-site execution.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, collaborative and is passionate about creating memorable experiences that strengthen TD's culture. The Marketing Coordinator - Events should also possess strong written and verbal communications skills.

The Marketing Coordinator - Events responsibilities will focus primarily on large internal corporate events that promote employee-owner engagement. The Coordinator will also assist with several community engagement-related events that promote and support TD's corporate social responsibility initiatives.


Essential Duties

Event Planning and Coordination:

  • Develop and manage event timelines, budgets and detailed checklists.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including sales professionals for trade shows and administrative support professionals.
  • Assist with the development of event communications, including, but not limited to, invitations, promotional materials, branded sales swag, PowerPoint slide decks, virtual presentation and meeting setup (e.g., Teams and Zoom) and programs/booklets and signage.
  • Identify and secure venues, negotiate contracts and coordinate logistics (catering, AV, decor, transportation).

Vendor and Stakeholder Relationship Management:

  • Source and manage vendors, ensuring compliance with TD's brand and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

On-Site Execution:

  • Oversee event setup, registration, live programming and breakdown.
  • Troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth operations during events.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure all activities comply with TDIndustries' industry-leading safety standards and legal requirements.

Post-Event Reporting:

  • Collect feedback, analyze event success and prepare reports for leadership.
  • Make strategic recommendations for future events that maximize program effectiveness and streamline cost.

Other Marketing Tasks:

  • Work with Marketing and Communications team on other strategic initiatives and campaigns as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant or related field (E.g., marketing, hospitality, public relations, business, event management, etc.)
  • Although not required, Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) or similar credential preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in corporate communications, event planning, marketing or related fields (corporate event management experience preferred).
  • Corporate event planning and management experience, including B2B sales trade shows.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
  • Strong creativity and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong negotiation and contract analysis skills.
  • Strong time management skills - and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of branding, promotion and audience engagement.
  • Positive attitude and collaborative mindset, including ability to work cross-functionally among teams.
  • Proficiency in business software applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint), SharePoint, Canva, ClickUp (or other task management software), Smartsheet and/or HubSpot a plus.
  • Proficiency in event management software applications such as Zoom, GoToMeeting, Cvent and/or Eventbrite also preferred.
  • Experience in marketing, communications and/or event management preferred
