Job Description




As a Security Officer - Part-Time Patrol Driver Weekends in Newark, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical or petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following protocols specific to chemical and petrochemical locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business areas and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to observe for any irregularities.
  • Monitor for potential hazards related to chemical and petrochemical operations and promptly report concerns according to site procedures.
  • Maintain detailed records of activities, observations, and incidents as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and local emergency responders as needed to support incident response and resolution.
  • Adhere to all Allied Universal policies and procedures, and maintain a professional presence while on post.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
