Job Description




As a Security Officer - School Patrols Driver in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible and approachable presence. Your responsibilities include conducting regular patrols and interacting with students, staff, and visitors to provide top-notch customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including responding appropriately to emergencies when required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and promote a security-minded environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points within the educational location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal and site standards.
  • Collaborate with campus staff and/or law enforcement as needed to support a secure environment within the educational setting.

Minimum Requirements:

  • You must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • You must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
