Job Description




As a Security Professional - Utilities Customer Service Desk in Rye, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and employees, providing a welcoming presence and assisting with access management. You will monitor entry points, respond to security-related incidents, and offer exceptional customer service while utilizing computer systems or tablets as needed. By being attentive and approachable, you will help to deter potential security-related issues and support a positive environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk of a utility location.
  • Monitor access and greet all persons entering the facility, verifying identification and visitor credentials as required.
  • Maintain logs and/or reports regarding daily activities and any security-related incidents that occur at the front desk.
  • Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, following Allied Universal protocols and site-specific instructions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members to address inquiries and relay important information related to security-related matters at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
