Job Description




As a Security Officer - Government Patrol Specialist in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help create a secure environment for all occupants. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a strong visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor for unusual activity within the government location and promptly report findings according to established procedures.
  • Document observations, occurrences, and incidents encountered during patrols, maintaining accurate records for site management.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required, supporting coordination during incidents.
  • Remain alert to changing conditions around the site and adapt patrol routes or actions as appropriate to maintain a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
