Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hotel Access Control in Marco Island, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a prestigious hotel and resort location, you will monitor entrances, check credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests, residents, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the resort environment.
  • Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure atmosphere for guests and staff.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the property and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, concerns, or unusual activity according to site and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as required, coordinating with on-site staff and first responders when appropriate.
  • Support and enforce rules and policies specific to the location to foster a welcoming and orderly environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
