 The Machinery Maintenance Mechanic is to repair machinery or mechanical equipment. Work Model: Onsite Responsibilities
 
 Essential Duties & Job Functions:
 
 Examining machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose source of trouble.Dismantling or partly dismantling machines and performing repairs that mainly involve the use of hand tools in scraping and fitting parts.Replacing broken or defective parts with items obtained from stock.Ordering the production of a replacement part by a machine shop or sending the machine to a machine shop for major repairs.Preparing written specification for major repairs or for the production of parts ordered from machine shops.Reassembling machines and making all necessary adjustments for operation.Replaces gauges and tightens and chalks leaky fittings, using wrenches, hammers, and chalking tools.Cleans carbon deposits, pitch, and grease from fans, vents and ducts, using scrapers, hammer, and compressed air or steam.Use portable radios to communicate with supervisors, and service call desk.Determines materials needed for repair work and prepares requisition.Responsible for timely reporting of accidents, injuries, and hazardous situations.Install, maintain, and repair boiler systems.Troubleshoot and diagnose boiler malfunctions.Monitor and control gauges, meters, and other instruments related to boiler operations.Adjust controls and settings to optimize boiler performance.Perform all other work-related duties as assigned.  Timely completion and accuracy of all work.Working closely and harmoniously with other employees.Adherence to contract requirements, safety and health regulations, and company policies. Job Requirements
 
 
 Mandatory: 
 Class C Texas driver's license.High school graduate or equivalent.Knowledge of hand and power tools.Three-year similar verifiable experienceGood interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.Ability to understand and have working knowledge of hazardous, safety, and environmental warnings.General knowledge of all maintenance and construction trades.Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolds, walkways, and lift up to 50 lbs.Minimum of 2 years of experience in boiler maintenance and repair.Must be able to complete assigned tasks in high or confined spaces. Preferred: 
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Industrial Boiler Certification . Working Conditions:
