Temple University's College of Public Health is searching for a Clinical Dietician / Nutrition Educator!

SALARY RANGE: $70,000 to $80,000
A variety of important factors are reviewed by HR when considering salary, including job duties, the applicant's education and experience, all relevant internal equity considerations, department budget, and funding source.

Position Summary:
Clinical Dietitians are integral members of the health care team. They have specialized expertise in the science of nutrition to promote optimal health and manage diseases. They work collaboratively with patients/ clients and other healthcare professionals to create and implement individualized nutritional plans tailored to the specific needs of patients. This role requires a blend of scientific expertise, compassionate patient care, and strong communication skills. A Clinical Dietician plays an essential role in assessing nutritional needs and developing dietary plans to educating patients and monitoring outcomes, playing a pivotal role in enhancing patient quality of life, improved health and reducing the sequela of chronic disease through expert nutrition management.

Required Education and Experience:
*Master's degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field.
*Certification as a Specialist in Clinical Nutrition by a recognized credentialing body within 2 years.
*Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential.
*PA license required
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities:
*Experience in a clinical setting, such as a hospital or healthcare facility.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient education and collaboration with medical staff.
*Proficiency in medical nutrition therapy and patient assessment techniques.
*Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems.
*Strong understanding of nutritional science and dietary guidelines.
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Ability to create individualized dietary plans based on medical conditions and patient needs.
*Compassionate and patient-centered approach to healthcare.

Essential duties:
*Assess patients' nutritional needs through detailed medical history and dietary intake analysis.
*Develop personalized meal plans to support patient health and treatment goals.
*Monitor patients' progress and adjust dietary plans as needed.
*Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to integrate nutritional care with overall medical treatment.
*Educate patients and their families about nutrition, healthy eating, and dietary management of diseases.
*Conduct nutrition-related research and contribute to evidence-based practices in clinical nutrition.
*Stay up-to-date with the latest nutritional science and healthcare guidelines.

*This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
