The Role

We are looking for an Analytical and Strategic thinking individual on our Curi Advisory Team as the Managing Director, Revenue Cycle Solutions. In this role, you will report to CEO, Curi Advisory and will be responsible for overseeing revenue cycle operations on behalf of healthcare clients, ensuring optimal financial performance, compliance, and client satisfaction. You will manage the full lifecycle of billing, coding, and collections processes for multiple organizations, while driving continuous improvement in revenue integrity, cash flow, and operational efficiency.

A Revenue Director acts as a trusted advisor to healthcare executives, providing data-driven insights, performance analyses, and strategic recommendations to strengthen financial outcomes across client portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

Client Leadership & Strategy

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding all revenue cycle activities and financial performance.
  • Develop and execute customized revenue cycle strategies tailored to each client's operational model and payer environment.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with client CFOs, practice administrators, and physicians. Be a trusted partner, understanding and anticipating changes in client strategy with the ability to adjust or recommend other services if applicable.
  • Create and present performance dashboards and KPI reports to clients, interpreting trends and recommending actionable improvements that directly impact client revenue.
  • Lead and play a key role in the business development aspect for Curi Revenue Cycle Solutions.

Operational Oversight

  • Direct the end-to-end revenue cycle process for assigned clients, including patient access, charge capture, coding, billing, collections, payment posting, and denial management.
  • Oversee internal (when applicable) and private labeled RCM teams (onshore and offshore), ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant execution of billing operations.
  • Monitor key metrics such as days in A/R, denial rate, and net collection rate, implementing process improvements to achieve best-in-class performance.
  • Identify and correct revenue leakage through audits, charge reconciliation, and documentation reviews.

Revenue Integrity & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to payer requirements, coding standards (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS), and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, CMS, OIG).
  • Collaborate with client clinical and compliance teams to strengthen documentation and coding accuracy.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of reimbursement policies, fee schedule changes, and payer trends affecting client revenue.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and mentor internal and private labeled RCM managers, billing specialists, and analysts.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop standardized processes and best practices across the RCM function to improve scalability and consistency across clients.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Produce detailed financial analyses, identifying root causes of underperformance and recommending corrective action plans for each client.
  • Create executive-level presentations summarizing financial outcomes, trends, and ROI for client engagements.
  • Partner with internal analytics teams to leverage automation and reporting tools that enhance transparency and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business, or related field required; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 15+ years of progressive experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, with at least 10 years in a leadership or consulting role.
    • Proven success managing RCM operations for multiple healthcare entities (e.g., medical groups, hospitals, FQHCs, specialty practices).
    • Deep understanding of payer contracting, reimbursement methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Skills:
    • Strong client relationship management and executive communication skills.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and present complex financial data clearly.
    • Expertise with EHR and practice management systems (e.g., Epic, Athena, eClinicalWorks, NextGen).
    • Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional or remote teams.

  • Achievement of client financial KPIs (e.g., Days in A/R, Net Collection Rate, Denial Rate)
  • Client satisfaction and retention
  • Operational efficiency and accuracy across client engagements
  • Revenue recovery and cost-to-collect improvement
  • Successful implementation of process improvements and technology enhancements

Compensation

The base salary will be commensurate with an individual's work experience and educational background.
