| Job Summary: The Systems Engineer III is responsible for providing technical guidance, training and work direction to less experienced engineers. Essential Functions: 
 Develop new program, systems and/or computing infrastructureIdentify and document business requirements for new development projects and prepare detailed technical specifications from which programs or infrastructure can be builtLead service support activities and initiativesLead or work on the company's most complex projectsAbility to break down and communicate complex concepts in manageable parts for successful execution by teams and team membersCoordinate vendor relationships and commitments on project involvement/deliverablesDesign and implement systematic approaches and alternativesConduct preliminary studies to define needs and determine feasibilityConfer with clients and analyze business/functional requirements.Develop procedures for moving program changes, enhancements, etc. into IT production processingUnderstand and relate business/functional requirements to application/infrastructure requirementsInitiate and lead support activities including problem analysis, technical evaluation, work estimates and implementation servicesCoordinate support or project activities with all applicable constituents including customers using the systems, IT staff supporting the systems, vendors/third parties, and/or business managersIdentify and lead, as assigned, resources and communications to facilitate work completionTrain and provide guidance to new IT team members to assist them in orientation to policies, procedures and responsibilitiesServe as an escalation point for system engineers to escalate problems and inquiries requiring further evaluation beyond the associated skill levelRepresent IT in project and/or business meeting and engagementsLead conference calls or visits with vendors/third partiesIntroduce new customers to IT services to assist in familiarizing them with appropriate systems, services, policies and proceduresPerform any other job duties as requested Education and Experience: 
 Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science or equivalent years of relevant work experience is requiredMinimum of five (5) years of experience working in medium to large operating environment requiredMinimum of two (2) years of programming or system analysis experience requiredExperience translating business requirements into technical specifications required Competencies, Knowledge and Skills: 
 Advanced computer skillsAdvanced troubleshooting and problem solving capabilitiesTraining and/or experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Windows Server, SQL, Exchange, Project and VisioAdvanced hardware troubleshootingExperience with Linux or IBM Websphere solutions preferredEffective organization and prioritization skillsCommunication skillsAbility to work independently and within a team environmentAttention to detailTraining/teaching skillsTechnical writing skillsTime management skillsProper phone etiquetteCustomer service orientatedDecision making/problem solving skillsLeadership skillsAdvanced troubleshooting skills Licensure and Certification: 
 MCSE, MCSD, CCN, CCNE, or CISSP is preferred Working Conditions: 
 General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time Compensation Range:$81,400.00 - $130,200.00 CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate's education, training, and experience as well as the position's scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
