Job Description:The primary duties of the ambulatory care Pharmacy Technician are to provide administrative and technical support to the ambulatory care clinical pharmacists and ambulatory care pharmacy services. Pharmacy Technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist. Technicians interact with patients, family, and other health care providers as appropriate and under strict accordance with standard, written procedures and guidelines. Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent - Required or Equivalent Completion of Pharmacy Technician Program - Required Experience: 2 years Pharmacy - Inpatient Pharmacy Technician - Preferred Certifications/Licensures: Pharmacy Tech - California Board of Pharmacy - Required CPhT Pharmacy Technician - PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification Board - Required Skills: Ability to work cooperatively with health system and pharmacy staff. Must be able to maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of individuals. A high degree of organizational skills, ability to set priorities, manage multiple demands and the ability to complete tasks under strict time lines is required. Knowledge of patient privacy Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) rules, federal/state regulations as they pertain to patient information privacy. Basic computer and typing skills are required. Work Shift:08.0 - 08:30 - 17:00 No Waive (United States of America) Pay Range: $34.83 - $47.01 Hourly Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure. Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area. Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting.
