The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview: Food Service Worker is responsible for washing pots and pans, cleaning workstations, empties trash and assists with preparation of menu items as needed. He/she will also assist with cash register duties, as needed, managing transactions with customers accurately and efficiently. Qualifications: Required: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude Preferred: Previous experience in food service or a related field Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Scheduling Requirements: 7:00am-3:00pm Monday-Friday Full Time Essential Functions: Wash and sanitize pots, pans, and kitchen utensils Clean and maintain workstations, ensuring a hygienic environment Empty trash and dispose of waste in accordance with health and safety regulations Complete the daily deep cleaning schedule which includes equipment, walls, and refrigerators Assist in the preparation of menu items as directed by the kitchen staff Follow food safety guidelines and maintain proper food handling procedures Perform sanitation tasks to support food service procedures Report identified safety issues, such as hazardous environments or medical errors to management Assist with cash register duties, including processing transactions and handling cash accurately Provide friendly and efficient service to customers, addressing any inquiries or concerns Work closely with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth operations Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required Benefits and Perks: At RWJBarnabas Health, our employees are at the heart of everything we do.
