STV is hiring an experienced Mobility Technology Solutions Leader to work with both our private and public agency clients in our growing Mobility Technologies group as a part of our Centers of Excellence division.

This exciting opportunity involves leading our Mid-Atlantic and South-Central state clients for the development and delivery of technology solutions. In addition, our new team leader will be instrumental in assisting in the growth and mentorship of the regional and national practice, as well as being an integral part of our national Center of Excellence (CoE) integrated team to support the planning, delivery, and growth of: ITS, digital roadway, connected/automated/electric vehicles, connected cities, broadband, transportation hub and intelligent logistics facility planning and design projects, including other emerging transportation modes, as part of our Mobility Technologies practice.

The right candidate will work directly with the National Mobility Technology Director, company executives, and other business line disciplines of the firm to develop and expand our advanced mobility service offerings.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with the National Mobility Technology Director to determine regional and national strategies.
  • Actively connecting with leadership and pursuing work for client Department of Transportation and other transportation and transit agencies in Maryland, Virginia, District of Columbia (DC), the Carolinas, Georgia, Tennessee and Florida, as well as coalitions, such as The Eastern Transportation Coalition.
  • Energetically participating in and being a STV leader in national organizations such as TRB, AASHTO, and ITS America.
  • Producing articles for internal and external blogs and social media postings.
  • Overseeing the development of client scopes of work and deliverables, such as systems engineering documentation, strategic plans, developing planning documents and engineering design plans, specifications and estimates on various regional and national ITS, connected/automated/electric vehicle, and technology deployment projects.
  • Supporting key projects, project tasks and deliverables for our national clients.
  • Ability to analyze transportation data to optimize system performance and improve mobility solutions.
  • Identifying and supporting grant writing efforts for federal funds to support client initiatives.
  • Work with clients to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Assist in project management, proposal development, and client presentations.
  • Engage in the development of new skills and group services to target emerging technology areas.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 15+ years of experience in traffic systems, ITS, TSMO and technology solutions across the country.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in transportation engineering, transportation management, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Actively working with various state Department of Transportations (DOTs), federal and transit agencies, including USDOT - FHWA and USDOE.
  • Understanding of system integration, networking, and cybersecurity principles in transportation applications.
  • Seasoned interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Exemplifies the pillars of team, change agent, purpose of mission, client and people connecting.
  • Extensive experience with government collaboration on policy, planning, procurement for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Digital Infrastructure (DI), Automated, Connected, Electric Vehicles, and Broadband.
  • Excited to work within integrated and multi-disciplinary teams on both large and more unique projects with demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and within a team.
