The Vice President of Pricing & Planning - Linear will lead the strategic and operational management of linear inventory across the Fox Sports portfolio. This role is responsible for optimizing revenue yield, stewarding inventory utilization, guiding upfront and scatter marketplace strategies, and ensuring that all pricing decisions align with Fox Sports' broader sales and revenue goals. This leader will serve as a central liaison between Sales, Finance, Operations, Research, and Revenue Management, ensuring disciplined, data-informed decision making in a fast-paced, high-stakes marketplace.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Revenue Optimization:
    Oversee linear pricing and planning decisions to drive revenue maximization across Upfront, Scatter, and DR markets.

  • Inventory Management:
    Develop and implement inventory allocation and optimization strategies that balance revenue goals, client priorities, and programming needs.

  • Marketplace Strategy:
    Partner with Sales teams to establish marketplace positions, scatter guidelines, and pricing that protects value and drive yield growth.

  • Data & Analytics Leadership:
    Integrate data-driven insights (Big Data, OOH, demo consumption trends, sellout pacing) into forward-looking strategies and yield opportunities)

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    Partner with Network Sales, Sports Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to align revenue forecasts, marketplace positions, and sellout targets.

  • Team Leadership:
    Lead, mentor, and develop the Pricing & Planning team - fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Process Oversight:
    Establish and enforce clear policies for to ensure consistency across sports properties.

  • Upfront Strategy:
    Play a central role in the annual Upfront process - including rate card setting and packaging.

  • Executive Communication:
    Present marketplace analysis, sellout reports, and risk/opportunity assessments to senior leadership on a recurring basis.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Experience:
    Minimum of 15-20 years of industry experience, with at least 6+ years in a senior leadership role at a network or an agency

  • Expertise:
    Deep understanding of sports marketplace dynamics, media math, audience metrics (Big Data, OOH, C3/C7, P2+, P18-49), and pricing levers.

  • Strategic Acumen:
    Demonstrated success in balancing yield management with client/agency relationship needs in a competitive market.

  • Leadership:
    Proven track record managing large teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Communication:
    Exceptional ability to present complex marketplace insights and recommendations to senior executives in a concise and strategic manner.

  • Education:
    bachelor's degree required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $206,000.00-258,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
