AES Clean Energy is seeking a Manager, Project Scheduling to lead AES Clean Energy's Scheduling department, which serves as the organization's subject matter expert (SME) for all project scheduling activities across the Project lifecycle. This team is responsible for creating, maintaining, and overseeing project schedules from early development through final execution, ensuring accurate, consistent, and timely visibility into project timelines, milestones, and risks. The Scheduling Manager oversees multiple ongoing workstreams, drives innovation through AI-enabled scheduling initiatives, and partners across Estimating, Project Management, Engineering and Development to enhance forecasting, accountability, and performance predictability throughout the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor a team of project schedulers, providing guidance, workload balance, and professional development.
  • Oversee the Scheduling department's role as AES's scheduling SME group, ensuring standards and best practices are consistently applied across all projects.
  • Collaborate with estimating, project management, engineering and development leaders to align schedule logic, assumptions, and risk strategies.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders and external consultants to advance AI-based scheduling tools that enhance forecasting, automate baseline creation, and improve schedule accuracy.
  • Support the integration of AI-driven insights into AES's project controls, ensuring data integrity and operational adoption.
  • Develop, maintain, and integrate detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and related software.
  • Establish project baselines, monitor progress, and communicate schedule risks, variances, and recovery strategies across concurrent workstreams.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure clear visibility into project timelines, milestones, and dependencies.
  • Deliver senior leadership-level reports and dashboards on schedule performance, risk, and trends.
  • Utilize data analytics to drive continuous improvement and enhance communication across various groups within AES.
  • Support schedule delay analysis, claims documentation, and time-impact assessments.
  • Develop and maintain AES scheduling standards, templates, and governance processes.
  • Ensure compliance with AES internal controls, reporting requirements, and procedural documentation.
  • Promote a culture of precision, accountability, and innovation within the Scheduling department.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in project scheduling, preferably within renewable energy, EPC, or construction environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong leadership and analytical skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Experience in critical path methodology, resource loading, and risk-based schedule management.
  • Exposure to or direct experience with AI-driven or data-enabled scheduling solutions strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder engagement skills.

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $129,000 and $161,500/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
