What We Offer

The Process Operator will perform the day-to-day operations of running the reactors, transfers, packing,
material handling, cleaning, and all other necessary activities to run Manufacturing permitted by the terms of the Teamsters Local 25 and Covestro LLC Labor Contract.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for completing all facets of plant production including, but not limited to:
    Give Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) priority, and accept personal responsibility for
    your own safety and that of your colleagues.
  • Investigate near misses and incidents.
  • Execute and fully document all production procedures related documents.
  • Become versant with the automated DCS system Delta V for running the reactors including

basic trouble-shooting steps

  • Perform risk assessments, job safety analysis and safety samplings.
  • Maintain high standards and continuous improvements for housekeeping.
  • Develop and understanding of the processes and operate the equipment
  • Weigh up of raw materials and add raw materials to various vessels.
  • Complete all work associated with the handling and packaging of raw materials finished
    goods.
  • Gather and analyze data for the continued production improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and communicate process and mechanical problems, and repair when
    appropriate.
  • Participate on improvement teams(s)
  • Perform operational maintenance (dispersion valves, etc.) tasks as required.
  • Perform and manage several tasks at one time while maintaining excellent attention to
    detail.
  • Communicate across all functions within and outside of manufacturing.

This is a 12-hour day shift role: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and every other Thursday from 6pm - 6am

The starting pay for this role is $34.54/hr Plus shift differential.

  • High School Diploma

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industrial or manufacturing experience

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong aptitude for understanding the production processes, good communication skills, and
    the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work very well in a team-oriented environment
