Security Officer - Access Control Retail

As a Security Officer - Access Control Retail in Pittston, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional, you will play a key role in access control and security-related functions at a large distribution center in the retail environment. Your responsibilities include monitoring entrances, conducting routine patrols, and helping to deter incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with visitors, employees, and contractors, providing excellent customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Control access to the location by verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting, in alignment with site protocols.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access or activity within the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and use problem-solving skills to address the situation.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter of the location to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and the site.
• Collaborate with site personnel and other Allied Universal team members to support a secure environment for staff and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
