Job Summary

Loudoun County's Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services is actively looking for qualified candidates for a full-time Building Services Coordinator position at the Claude Moore Recreation and Community Center. Under the general supervision of the operations manager, this role involves coordinating the assigned operations of the recreation center for the department. Responsibilities include scheduling program events, coordinating facility usage, managing related expenses, providing information about activities, supervising staff and volunteers, and offering additional program support as necessary. This role necessitates ongoing direction and oversight of recreation center operations. An ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, adaptability to changing circumstances, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
We are currently hiring for the following location(s): * Claude Moore Recreation & Community Center, Sterling, VA
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Coordinates recruitment, hiring, and training of recreation center staff and front desk supervisor; ensures staff follow County policies and procedures. * Demonstrates compliance with County, Department, and Division policies and procedures, and federal/state laws and regulations, as applicable to position. * Delivers polite and prompt customer service to County personnel, vendors, citizens, and other visitors; directs customers to the relevant staff. * Provides performance direction, feedback, mentoring, coaching, and staff training; promotes teamwork and collaboration; and reviews timesheets for accuracy. * Uses department registration software; schedules facilities; creates classes; completes registrations; and collects fees using software. * Supervises customer service and administrative assistance for front desk operations. Ensures adherence to the facility's policies and procedures. Manages staffing schedules. * Ensures that daily cash receipt reconciliation is conducted with precision and that cash transmittals are submitted by the specified deadline. * May carry out additional critical job responsibilities pertinent to the specific role and departmental assignment.
*Operational hours dictate the variability of the work schedule, which may consist of weekdays, evening shifts, and weekend hours.*
Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree in a field related to the assigned program or department; two (2) years related work experience with some lead or supervisory experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Must undergo criminal background, credit, and DMV background checks. A valid driver's license and a good driving record are required. Annual reviews of driving records may be conducted to ensure ongoing qualification. Hold or obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certifications at hire or within three (4) months.
