We are looking for a Benefits Specialist to join our team and support the continued growth and excellence of Endress+Hauser. This role plays a key part in ensuring our employees receive the best possible support during life events and in their wellness journey, contributing to our culture of care and well-being. In addition, this role is a strategic and integral part of contributing to the framework of establishing benefits support as a sub-function of the US shared services team.

As a Benefits Specialist, LOA & Wellness, you will be a key resource for employees navigating benefits, wellness programs, and leaves of absence. You'll collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and employees across the organization to deliver exceptional service and strategic support. This role is part of our Shared Services HR function supporting multiple US entities.

Which tasks will you perform?

  • Serve as the primary contact for employees initiating leaves of absence.
  • Coordinate with carrier and local HR to ensure accurate processing.
  • Maintain timesheet records and ensure proper elections are reflected.
  • Monitor compliance with state-specific leave laws, especially California.
  • Exercise confidentiality and ensure HIPPA compliance regarding protected employee health information.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits, claims, and coverage.
  • Guide employees through complex life events and benefit-related decisions.
  • Conduct ongoing education sessions and benefit orientations.
  • Participate in the 401(k) Administration Committee and Benefits Team.
  • Influence employee culture by promoting wellness and preventive care initiatives.
  • Manage wellness program exceptions and approvals in collaboration with the onsite clinic, HC360 wellness app, and benefits broker.
  • Lead communications and logistics for wellness incentives and lifestyle medicine programs.
  • Assist employees with planning and coordinating wellness screenings for all US entities.
  • Provide support during open enrollment related to wellness offerings.
  • Develop and distribute communication materials for open enrollment.
  • Conduct informational meetings and onboarding sessions focused on benefits.
  • Coordinate with HR and IT to ensure seamless onboarding and enrollment processes.

What do we expect from you?

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in benefits administration, LOA management, or wellness coordination.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state leave laws (e.g., FMLA, CFRA).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with HRIS systems and third-party benefits platforms.
  • Continuous improvement and customer service mindsets.
  • Preferred certifications: CEBS, SHRM-CP, or PHR.
